Hello my Dear Family,
This past little while I have been very involved with sharing the light of Jesus Christ over the web. I have been working with Facebook and other means to advertise our free English classes that we offer as a service. I also had a really special experience I would love to share with you:
About 3 months ago I received a referral from Mormon.org. It was for a man by the name of Norman who was looking for more happiness, meaning, and understanding in his life. He decided to find these things through study of Christ and his doctrines. Norman is from India but at the time was living in Southern China. Because of political complexities our Church’s missionary force does not have access to physically teach people in China. So we did the next best thing we could, we wrote emails on a continual basis teaching him the doctrines of salvation and happiness. (these doctrines can all be found here: http://mormon.org/what-do-mormons-believe) Norman found the light, his life changed, while in a country that restricts Christianity he found truth and lived with it and expounded it to his family. He found that families truly can have relationships together beyond death, he found that by consuming certain substances and avoiding others such as alcohol, smoking, tea, and coffee that blessings both spiritual and physical came in abundance. Best of all was Norman acted on this light, he sought out and found a small branch of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Southern China. Because he was from India and considered a foreign national he was permitted to attend. This past month his special petition to the first presidency was granted to have a baptism in this small branch in China. Norman and his wife and daughter were baptized February 2, 2013 in Suzhou, China.
This event came about because of a small action, all I did was share simple bits of truth and testimony that I had learned for myself. These small emails enlightened, lifted, and blessed.
I consider it a miracle I can sit here in the heart of Asia nearly half a world away and share these experiences with you! Technology is remarkable and can be used for much good! I love this short video I came across the other day:
It is my prayer we can use the technology around us to bring light to all those within our reach! The invitation will never cease, “Come unto Christ…”
I love you all and wish you a wonderful week!
