67. Merry Christmas – 22 Dec 12

My Dear Family,

My time is about up. This week was a blur! We put on a huge Christmas activity for all 180 of our missionaries. You will get the mission picture and video soon. I am working on editing it all still! I have some pictures and a thought to share with you!

At the Christmas activity, Sister Watterson (a fellow Aggie), gave her farewell. She said something that struck me so hard. She talked about going into her brothers room and seeing his goals for becoming a high school football star. He would write his goal for the end score on a piece of athletic tape. She said as a little girl she would wonder, “Can you really do that? Can you change the score of the game?” She gave a profound testimony that yes, we can change the score of the game. And we are not just fighting for points or baptisms, but for enduring salvation! At this time of Christmas, as we have opportunities to turn outward and help others may we never forget, our small actions WILL change the score of the game!

I love you all, and wish you the merriest of Christmases!

-Elder Spencer K. Bailey

P.S. I will be calling you December 25th 10am MY TIME. This will be December 24th (Christmas Eve) 7pm YOUR TIME! I will be using SKYPE so be online and ready.

P.P.S. We cleaned our apartment so we can “be clean [whom] bear the vessels of the Lord.” ๐Ÿ˜€ All other pictures are at the Christmas activity! Thanks Mom for the new suite! ๐Ÿ˜€
